Chunduri Venkata Satyanarayana of TV9 won the prestigious Ramnath Goenka award in the Regional Languages (Broadcast) category. Unfortunately, only one Telugu journalist among the 30 Goenka award winners. He is popularily known as Sai in the media circles.
After Murali went to Sakshi TV channel, TV9 brought him to Hyderabad from Vijayawada.
Most of the awards are bagged by journalists working for English and Hindi media organisations. Arnab Goswami of TimesNow won the “Journalist of the year” award in the TV broadcast category while Siddharth Varadarajan of The Hindu won in the print category.
Ramnath Goenka awards will be given to best journalists in the print and broadcasting categories.
